Rayne reveals the real reason why she wanted to be on the show with Chidi

Rayne Fernandez, a cast member of 90-Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 7, has a complex love-hate relationship with the show and its fandom.

In a recent interview with YouTuber "Movingmad," Rayne admitted that watching Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi's storyline inspired her to join the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. At the time, Rayne believed the show was about helping American citizens meet their love overseas and bringing them to the U.S., including covering all expenses like flight tickets, hotels, meals, and visas. However, once TLC producers cast her and Chidi for the current season of Before The 90 Days, Rayne was shocked to learn that the show doesn't pay for cast members' trips or anything of value, except for taxis to move to certain locations to film scripted scenes.

Rayne was further disillusioned when she realized that the producers were more interested in creating drama between her and Chidi than in helping them achieve their goals as a couple. She confessed that between Chidi's sister and the TLC production team, she never had a chance to be alone with Chidi to discuss their relationship.

Despite feeling misled by Chidi, his family, and the show producers, it's ironic that a toxic and abusive couple like Angela and Michael inspired her to join the show instead of making her avoid it completely, especially after the on and off-screen drama that unfolded between Angela and her younger Nigerian husband in recent years.

Rayne admitted she was naïve but believes she is reality TV gold and that the show would love to have her back for future seasons. She also confirmed that she was not fired by TLC but that it was her choice not to appear on the upcoming tell-all because Chidi's sister and the production team wouldn't let Chidi be himself and speak one-on-one with her without following their script.

The producers only care about making Rayne look crazy and bad for ratings, which is something that Rayne is not ok with and never agreed to. Despite the challenges and disappointments, Rayne remains confident in her potential as a reality TV star and is open to future opportunities within the franchise.
