Angela goes on the Drew Barrymore show and claims she and Michael are still together

This week, fans of 90 Day Fiancé were shocked after seeing Angela Deem lie with a straight face on the Drew Barrymore show when asked questions about her relationship status with her estranged Nigerian husband, Michael Ilesanmi. Fans felt angry and disappointed and criticized Drew Barrymore and her co-host, Ross Mathews, for inviting Angela, a violent abuser, onto their talk show.

Angela Deem single-handedly destroyed The Drew Barrymore Show's reputation with her presence, angering both 90 Day Fiancé and Drew Barrymore fans. The backlash from the talk show episode was so severe that CBS's PR team removed every video post featuring Angela Deem from their talk show's social media pages, which is quite insane!

Luckily, celebrity blogger "Auntie's Advice" created a YouTube video about the incident and managed to bypass copyright-detecting bots by capturing the moment Angela Deem confirmed that she and Michael were still together by filming her phone screen.

As seen in the video clip, the host, Drew Barrymore, asked Angela, "How are you doing now? Are you and Michael still together right now?" And to that, Angela Deem had a long, nervous laugh and answered, "Absolutely.".   After watching the entire interview segment, I can honestly say that the entire exchange was scripted and felt contrived. It seemed as though TLC and CBS had collaborated to promote the 90 Day fiancé show and boost Angela's popularity, but the plan backfired. Instead of garnering support, the interview seems to have caused more animosity towards Angela and negatively affected the CBS talk show's reputation.

Anyone following the Angela and Michael drama on social media since the end of February 2024 can easily tell that Angela lied when she claimed that she and Michael were still together. Far from fake reality TV and scripted talk shows, Michael escaped from Angela's home and is trying to start a new life in the United States, while the crazy Meemaw is currently collecting evidence and working closely with three lawyers to build a strong case and get Michael deported back to Nigeria after proving that he's a scammer who committed marriage fraud.
