Colt Johnson, star of 90 Day Fiancé, is "unlikely" to return to the franchise following a trampoline accident while filming a scene. The 37-year-old was involved in a horrifying accident in December 2022 that left him wheelchair-bound, and his wife Vanessa Guerra has now revealed that it occurred while they were filming a trampoline scene. Colt, 37, made his reality TV debut on 90 Day Fiancé season 6, alongside his now ex-wife from Brazil, Larissa Lima. He was with his Brazilian lover Jess Carolin for a while and later dated and eloped with Vanessa after an adventurous marriage marked by domestic abuse arrests with Larissa.
Vanessa has remained at 90 Day Fiancé's Colt Johnson's side as he heals from the devastating tragedy, which his wife claims is 90 Day Fiancé's fault. Vanessa held an impromptu Q&A with Instagram followers, and when someone inquired how Colt was hurt, Vanessa said, "we were filming a scene on trampolines that went horrifically wrong." Vanessa recently informed another follower, "I refuse to film anymore," in response to their question about her plans to return to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise in the future. Apparently, the accident was the TLC producer's fault, who asked Colt to jump on the trampoline, which lead to a disaster and a load of medical bills to pay. The couple may consider filing for a lawsuit against TLC to get a compensation in case Colt's medical bills keep growing.
Vanessa also stated that Colt is "unlikely" to continue filming 90 Day Fiancé. Colt, the reality TV star, is doing well in his recovery. Vanessa found it daunting at first, but she's never seen him so motivated to help himself before.
"He's actually more independent today than he was before he broke his leg," Vanessa commented in a fan response. While Vanessa appears to be in a better mood now, she was frantically seeking prayers from 90 Day Fiancé followers a month ago. According to Vanessa, Colt suffered a dislocated and broken leg as a result of the accident on December 2, 2022. "Tibia/fibula combined with a torn meniscus. "He was in the hospital for two weeks," she wrote in her post. Colt, a 90 Day Fiancé cast member, suffered two operations in those two weeks, and his bladder stopped working as a result of the pain medication and anesthesia he got.
He later underwent another operation to remove hardware from his leg, was confined to a wheelchair, and was told it would take him six to eight months to fully recover.
Colt and Vanessa were last seen together on 90 Day: The Single Life season 3 as supporting characters in Colt's mother Debbie Johnson's tale. Debbie's relocation to Canada with her new boyfriend Tony was strongly opposed by Colt. While it didn't appear that Colt would be returning to a new spin-off anytime soon, the news of his accident during filming comes as a surprise. Colt and Vanessa are extremely likely to have been cast in season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Given the circumstances, it's safe to presume 90 Day Fiancé couple Colt and Vanessa departed the production midway and may be removed from whatever season they were filming.
